ÖZET

İnşaat faaliyetlerinin bir yıldan fazla sürede tamamlanmasından dolayı inşaat sözleşmelerinin muhasebeleştirilmesindeki esas konu, sözleşme kapsamında elde edilen gelir ve maliyetlerin raporlanacağı hesap döneminin belirlenmesidir. İnşaat sözleşmelerinin muhasebeleştirilmesi açısından uluslararası finansal raporlama standartları ve vergi mevzuatı arasında önemli farklılıklar bulunmaktadır. Uluslararası finansal raporlama standartlarında sözleşme kapsamında elde edilen gelir ve maliyetler inşaat işinin gerçekleştirildiği hesap dönemlerine dağıtılmakta iken, vergi mevzuatına göre sözleşme kapsamında elde edilen gelir ve maliyetlerin tamamı inşaatın tamamlandığı yıl gelir tablosunda raporlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı uluslararası finansal raporlama standartları ve vergi mevzuatı kapsamında inşaat taahhüt işlerinin muhasebeleştirilmesi ve raporlanması konusunun anlatılması ve farklılıkların bir örnek yardımı ile açıklanmasıdır.

ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING FOR CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS UNDER INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS AND TAX LAWS

ABSTRACT

Generally, construction activities are performed more than one year. Therefore, the main problem in the accounting for construction contracts is the allocation of contract revenue and cost to the accounting periods. There are differences between International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Tax Laws with respect to accounting for construction contructs. According to IFRS, contract revenue is matched with the contract costs incurred in reaching the stage of completion, resulting in the reporting of revenue, expenses and profit which can be attributed to the proportion of work completed. On the other hand, Tax Laws mandates to report contract revenue and contract costs in the accounting period which construction acitivy is completed. The purpose of this paper is to explain the accounting for construction contracts under IFRS and Tax Laws. Additionally, tha paper aims to express the differences between IFRS and Tax Laws regarding accounting for construction contracts with the help of a case.
